Welcome to the Deans Festival website!

 

The award winning Deans Festival took place on Saturday 18th May 2013. Now in its fifth year, the event was a great success once again. See pictures in our gallery.

 

Here's what was going on at this year at the Deans Festival:

 

Climbing wall, go karts and sports galore!

The Sussex Raptor Club with their beautiful owls

Meet the East Sussex Reptile & Amphibian Society

Live music & displays including the fabulous Cardettes

Craft area, children's entertainer and face painting

Traditional stalls such as hook-a-duck and tombola

Barbecue, café, sweets, popcorn and cakes

Licensed drinks tent - wine, beer and soft drinks

Top prizes in the Deans Festival raffle      

 

  

Proud to be the Argus Achievement Awards Community Event of the Year!


The Deans Festival is a community funday providing entertainment for all ages and open to anyone wanting to join the fun. The event is organised by local volunteers (from the villages of Rottingdean, Ovingdean and Woodingdean) and supported by the schools of Downs View, Our Lady of Lourdes, Rudyard Kipling, St Margarets and Woodingdean Primary School.

Part of Brighton Fringe, the Deans May Festival combines elements of traditional fêtes and modern fundays for a good day out for all the family.
